Sacred Rim and Community

August 2, 2019 - Off to an adventurous hike to a mountain ridge called the Sacred Rim, which is part of the Wind River Range.  This is a favorite trail for people who live around here, and is not known unless you are a local.  Our new friend Barb, who we met last Sunday at Church, graciously offered to take us to this spectacular vista.

Barb and Judy viewing the Wind River Range.  What a treat...Thank you Barb for taking us on a nice hike up to the Sacred Rim.  Incredible!

Dave (Barb’s husband)  is a author of several books and an amazing man in many ways.         (Several will surprise you).

Saturday evening concert in the park.  Enjoyed sitting along the river bank listening to music while watching children playing and having a good time.  Had our first chocolate peanut butter donut sundae...yum!

View from our RV window at Freemont Lake Campgrounds.

Stopped by and got a tour of the Fish Hatchery in Daniel, WY.  Was amazed to learn that trout are raised here and helicoptered into lakes and ponds around Wyoming.  We learned that fish grow slower in colder water, and the temperature of the lakes around here are around 44 degrees Fahrenheit.

Sunday August 4, 2019 - Checking out the scenery near Warren Bridge Campground.  Remote BLM land on the Green River. This is our last stop before heading out early tomorrow morning to        Grand Teton National Park.
